Quality Assurance Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across our livestock operations in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities
Quality Management System
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system that adheres to Dutch and EU regulations for the livestock industry
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, animal welfare regulations, and environmental guidelines specific to the livestock sector
Process Oversight
- Supervise quality control throughout the production process, from animal husbandry to product delivery
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, processes, and documentation
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
Compliance and Reporting
- Stay up-to-date with relevant Dutch and EU legislation concerning animal welfare, food safety, and environmental standards
- Prepare and maintain accurate quality-related documentation and reports
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and participate in external audits
Team Leadership
- Manage and train the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure quality standards are met across all operations
Supplier Management
- Evaluate and monitor suppliers to ensure they meet required quality and safety standards
- Develop and maintain supplier quality agreements
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Food Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality
Knowledge and Skills
- In-depth knowledge of Dutch and EU regulations pertaining to livestock production and food safety
- Knowledge of GMP processes
- Proficiency in quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., HACCP, ISO 9001)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities in both Dutch and English
