Machine Learning Engineer (TE-CRG-GLO-2024-138-GRAP)

Are you a  Data Scientist interested in deploying your skills in machine learning algorithms? How about working with:

• Machine learning experiments using programming languages like Python along with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn;

• Writing and implementing SOTA machine learning algorithms;

• Developing federated learning software and algorithms;

• Implementing differential privacy and homomorphic encryption;

• Ensuring efficient data flow between databases and backend systems to support machine learning initiatives, using tools like Apache Spark;

• Analyzing data to identify new use cases and derive actionable insights, employing statistical analysis, visualization for exploratory data analysis (EDA);

• Developing solutions for anomaly detection and predictive maintenance.

Who we are looking for

• Expert knowledge of Python programming language, common deep learning frameworks, and machine learning algorithms, including federated learning tools and algorithms.
• Familiarity with anomaly detection and remaining useful life algorithms.
• Knowledge of how linear particle accelerate the radiotherapy would be an advantage.
• Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.

Eligibility criteria:

• You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
• You have a professional background in IT, Date Science (or a related field) and have either:
  • a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;
  • or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.

• A monthly stipend ranging between 6212 and 6828 Swiss Francs per month (net of tax).
