Knowledge Engineer (m/f/d)
We are seeking an experienced Knowledge Engineer to join our client's team in Basel. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and integration of data models and interoperability standards. You will work on enhancing their digital products and services while promoting the application of FAIR data principles.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various teams to develop and integrate data models. Ensure our data services adhere to the FAIR principles (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable).
- Contribute to the implementation of interoperability standards for digital products and systems. Promote the adoption of standards
- Explore new methods to derive business insights from linked data sources and develop new features for digital products.
- Interact with internal customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges, and develop customer-oriented solutions.
- Co-create robust solutions starting with prototypes and Minimal Viable Products (MVPs).
- Drive the automation of data and software services, including setting up code repositories, automation pipelines
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data interoperability and integration.
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A PhD is a plus.
- Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java.
- Knowledge of frontend programming languages like Typescript or Angular is a plus.
- Experience in data engineering and cloud technologies is desirable.
- Interoperability Technologies: Experience with data standards and terminologies
- Good knowledge of relational and graph databases.
- Strong skills in stakeholder management and collaboration.
- Fluency in English is required.
