Data Scientist vacancy for a globally operating Basel based company in the pharmaceutical sector.
Your tasks:
- Collaborating with product teams to integrate data models into the company’s product portfolio, emphasizing FAIR data services
- Liaising with engineering and business teams to implement device interoperability standards
- Exploring new methods to extract business insights from interconnected lab and clinical data for potential digital product enhancements
- Leading the integration of standards like FHIR, HL7v2, LOINC, and SNOMED
- Building common data models and standardizing data across different platforms and applications
Your experience/knowledge:
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in data interoperability roles, preferably in a pharmaceutical or medical device environment
- Expertise in knowledge engineering, data modeling and integration, healthcare interoperability, and rule modeling via Camunda, BPMN and DMN
- Experience with digital biomarkers and understanding of data access needs in clinical trials
- Strong software engineering skills with Python, Java, Git, JSON, and JSON-like messages
- Background in data interoperability technologies and standards such as FHIR, HL7v2, SNOMED, or LOINC, as well as experience with cloud-based technologies
- University Degree in Data Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics or another related field
