Key Client Director

As Key Client Director you’ll own a portfolio of highly demanding and significant key clients across a range of products and services. By proactively and strategically managing and developing them, you’ll ensure profitable retention and growth.

At AXA we work smart, this role is non-office field-based meaning you’ll travel to visit our Glasgow, Bristol, Leeds and Tunbridge Wells offices, plus client sites as required. Current full UK driving licence required.
What you’ll be doing:
- Use your exceptional account management skill, expertise and experience to support AXA Health’s strategic growth plans and service development.
- Bring presence, credibility, diplomacy and gravitas to this senior role.
- Build relationships with senior decision makers and key stakeholders to fully understand their strategy, needs and business challenges, including relevant activity beyond just health.
- Offer decisive and proactive consultative support, identifying opportunities for other products and services.
- Take an imaginative approach to client management, with the ability to be a disruptor and deliver an unexpected proposition that challenges current ways of thinking; clinically, operationally and commercially.
- Consultant, lead and encourage cross supplier service management with all other healthcare providers including competitors.
- A subject matter expert, you’ll support senior managers and other key stakeholders in providing thought leadership, insight, and expertise to internal and external audiences.

What we’re looking for:
- Experienced corporate account manager with prove record of successfully leading, managing, and developing demanding, complex, key clients through a consultative approach - essential.
- Excellent in-depth knowledge of health and risk and protection markets as well as knowledge of insured and self-funded corporate healthcare plans – essential.
- Extensive working knowledge of all health and wellbeing services and products available within the wider marketplace – essential.
- Outstanding relationship management and networking skills, both internally and externally – essential.
- Demonstrable experience of dealing with highly challenging senior management and executives, able to deliver difficult messages and push back where needed – essential.
- Ability to meet challenging annual targets as well as develop and implement plans for longer term success (2 – 5 years).
- Exceptional communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial and strategic awareness.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.About AXA
