Job Description

The position is based in the private markets team that liaises various investment management teams (private debt, private equity, infrastructure, real estate) and relationship managers. The team is responsible for a variety of investor relations activities throughout our funds' lifecycle from establishment to termination including preparation of marketing documentation, providing responses to client questionnaires including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), preparation of white papers, market commentary, data analysis and co-ordination of various investor events.

Your responsibilities as a Junior Private Markets Writer include:

  • Support the completion of RFPs and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) across various private market asset classes;
  • Establish and maintain the content database with regular updates from subject matter experts;
  • Support the preparation of white papers, market commentary and other writing pieces around private markets;
  • Create and update private markets related communications materials (newsletters, web site content etc.);
  • Provide proof reading support and take on other ad hoc or project work when delegated;
  • Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of LGT CP's private markets investment strategies and keep up to date on relevant developments;
  • Work close with colleagues across various private markets investment teams to brainstorm content ideas in line with the company's strategy; and
  • Establish effective working relationships with other team members in Switzerland and LGT CP colleagues globally.

Requirements

  • University degree in finance, economics or similar subject;

  • CAIA, CFA or other relevant professional qualification is beneficial;

  • Highly numerate, able to manipulate data and produce sound analysis by synthesizing complex information;

  • Skilled user of standard MS Office applications and interest in new digital tools and systems;

  • Hard working, self-starter/proactive and goal oriented;

  • Strong organizational/multi-tasking skills with a keen eye for detail;

  • Strong communication skills with an ability to work in a deadline driven environment;

  • Team oriented and focused on achieving team excellence.
