Responsibilities
- Drive the onboarding applications to the Cloud Native Stack within Markets Technology
- Facilitate the integration of the teams with shared platforms, including Observability and Testing frameworks
- Be a driver for standardization and sutomation
- Help cultivate a strong engineering culture within your team
- Leverage your expertise in engineering practices and processes, particularly in managing critical global business systems
- Collaborate with a diverse team to shape the future Software Solutions strategy for the Markets division
- Assist in the maintenance and support of common platforms
Requirements
- Solid CI/CD experience (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab, Octopus Deploy, Maven)
- Development background in Java, .NET, Scala or Python
- Deep architectural experience, and ability to elicit NFRs and document system designs
- Experience with Azure Application Platform, especially AKS
- Experience with Kubernetes deployments, distributed architectures, and low latency systems
- Good understanding of communication stacks (RabbitMQ, Kafka, gRPC, web sockets)
- Good knowledge of observability tools (Grafana, Elasticsearch, Fluent-Bit, OpenTelemetry)
- Good scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell)
- Ability to work on both Linux and Windows infrastructure
Nice to have
- Experience and proficiency in architecting and writing code for microservices and distributed applications
- Operators, helm chart creation and maintenance
- Good understanding of security topics such as Oauth 2.0, TLS, and vulnerability scanning
