In the role of Groups & Conference Executive, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

• Implement Sales Strategy: Demonstrate a deep understanding of and ensure effective implementation of the Groups & Conference Sales strategy.
• Secure Business: Utilise persistence, initiative, and negotiation skills to secure business and improve conversion rates.
• Manage Events: Manage event planning operations, including preparing BEOs, floor plans, and other necessary paperwork to communicate guest needs.
• Client Interaction: Conduct show rounds, meet walk-in clients, and build strong client relationships for repeat business and loyalty.
• Contract and Invoice Management: Issue contracts, pro-forma invoices, follow up on deposits and final payments, and verify billings on Opera.
• Forecasting: Prepare and review weekly forecasts with the Sales team and Operations team.
• Team Leadership: Energise and guide the team, develop SOPs, support team training, and lead weekly groups and events meetings as required.
• Competitor Analysis: Regularly analyse competitor promotions, pricing, and availability to stay competitive.
• Client Engagement: Host show rounds, and serve as a key contact for the clients.
• Local Market Development: Conduct research to identify new local business opportunities and maintain records for follow-up.
• Coordination: Collaborate with the operations team and external suppliers to ensure successful event execution.
• Sales Strategy Adaptation: Implement flexible sales strategies in response to market conditions to meet hotel budget commitments.
• Feedback and Improvement: Solicit feedback post-event and use it to improve service delivery and client satisfaction.

• Demonstrates a proactive and engaging personality with strong interpersonal skills, essential for building client relationships and leading a team effectively.
• Previous experience working with Accor is highly valued, with a deep understanding of Accor's values and operational standards being a significant advantage.
• Prior experience in reservations, providing a solid foundation in managing bookings, contracts, and client interactions.
• Proven ability to drive sales, manage events, and handle client inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to secure business and ensure seamless event execution.
• High level of attention to detail in managing event planning documentation, financials, and client requirements.
