About the Role
A Global Fortune 500 client in the FMCG sector is seeking a skilled and experienced Global Category Manager to lead and support key strategic deals within the Digital, Tech, and Professional Services categories. This role will focus on strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contracting for our Digital & Technology Commerce and eBusiness initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with D&T Commerce/eBusiness teams to manage RFP and sourcing activities, ensuring optimal results through global tenders, supplier selection, and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead and support key Commerce strategic deals, particularly top RFI/RFP processes.
- Sourcing & Contracting: Manage the complete lifecycle of RFP and sourcing activities, from demand initiation to contract completion.
- Data Management: Gather and consolidate contract data; connect with Operating Companies (OpCos) and partners in targeted Commerce/eBusiness areas.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business colleagues to secure optimal outcomes, including negotiation and contracting.
- Contract Renewal: Support the contract renewal cycle for primary D&T Commerce & eBusiness partners (10+).
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, or a related field. Advanced qualifications such as CIPS or MBA are desirable.
- Experience: 5-7+ years in Procurement, Vendor Management, IT, or Commerce. FMCG industry experience is a plus.
- Skills: Strong understanding of complex Digital & Technology transformation projects. Proficiency in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
