Job Description: As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of creating engaging and responsive user interfaces that enhance the shopping experience for our customers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, backend developers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality web applications. Your expertise in frontend technologies will play a crucial role in shaping the look and feel of their website, ensuring it is both aesthetically pleasing and functionally robust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain user-facing features using modern frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into functional and appealing interactive applications.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in frontend development.
- Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a Frontend Software Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with frontend frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Fluency in English, German is a plus.
