Founding-team member - Focus Technology
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's vision to transform cement production through the integration of Concentrated Solar Power technology. Leveraging pilot successes, your responsibility will be to lead the R&D efforts, taking the technology from its current stage to industrial demonstrators and semi-industrial pilots.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technology development and implementation of pyroprocessing by integration of high temperature renewable heat
- Establish and implement integartion strategy
- Drive ongoing R&D initiatives, ensuring continuous innovation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges
- Direct the planning and execution of pilot-scale projects - from conceptualization, system engineering to implementation
- Ensure projects meet quality, timeline and budgetary expectations
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards
Profile
- Ph.D. or advanced degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Proven track record in technology development in the energy or industrial sector
- Experience with high temperature industrial processes and their energetic aspects is a must
- Knowledge in heat integration in industrial processes
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to drive innovation and bring novel technologies to market
- Comfortable working in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment and navigating ambiguity
- Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
