External Manufacturing Operations Lead (f/m/d)
In this exciting role you are accountable and the go-to personfor availability and LCM management ofDrop&ship material: vials, stoppers, caps, HAS, but also allcritical supplies management within the Dengue manufacturing network: SU material, raw materials. You lead operation execution of the CMO network detailed planning, day to day operations, change controls, deviations, operational logistic, in close collaboration with the external manufacturing leads.
Your new role also includes orchestrating the execution team that supports the CMO network, ensuring seamless internal and external functional alignment to achieve supply KPIs within budget and on schedule.
Your main responsibilities:
Accountable for establishing a constructive relation with Drop&Ship suppliers in collaboration with procurement & product team
Responsible for planning, procurement, inventory, and LCM management of Drop&Ship supplies
Develop and maintain a detailed critical supplies risk register with product team, procurement, quality & manufacturing operations
Leads cross-functional team managing high risk material to identify, implement and stabilize mitigationsin order to avoid any manufacturing disruption due to supplies
Accountable for establishing an efficient weekly tier organisation with CMO and internal teams to monitor, coordinate and progress CMO manufacturing and quality operations
Accountable to excellence in execution of detailed planning (aligned with master plan), POs, GRs, Invoicing, trackers & KPIs, inventory management, operational quality (CRs & DRs) and logistics execution
Leads the execution team supporting the CMO network by creating a motivated, knowledgeable, well connected and performing team
Your profile:
BS in a scientific or engineering discipline and 7+ years working in manufacturing, supply chain, or development roles.An MBA or other business qualification is an advantage
Good working knowledge of manufacturing operations for drug substance and drug product manufacturing, packaging, and the requirements of CMC regulations and current GMPs
Experience working with Contract Manufacturers, including managing both technical and business (i.e., governance, contracts, invoices, payments) aspects of such relationships, is required. Experience establishing a new relationship is an advantage
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both Takeda and Third-Party team members, in a highly cross functional team environment
High degree of personal organization and effectiveness, the ability to manage large volumes of information, and to work independently, in some cases as the lead and/or sole Takeda representative in meetings with Third Parties
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to various meetings or client sites, including overnight and potentially over weekend trips. Travel requirement 15-20%
