Events team is a fast paced, diverse and multi-cultural team.

If you have excellent organizational and communication skills, are adept at engaging with internal and external stakeholders and have a strong passion for events and the air transport industry, we strongly encourage you to apply to the position of Senior Manager Events.

Reporting to the Head Events, you will be responsible for planning, managing and executing IATA Events in a financially sustainable approach. You will also need to identify and launch new events to maintain growth in our revenues.

In coordination with business owners, develop the charter for each event and implement the project plan;

Manage an event from the planning stage, right through to the actual event and post-event evaluation. The role is hands-on and will require you to work in a team;

Establish the event budget in collaboration with Sponsorships & Exhibition Sales and event agencies, validate and submit forecasts in accordance with internal guidelines and timelines;

Define and seek alignment on the event goals:,

Identify and select a suitable venue for the event. The venues must be evaluated based on capacity, accessibility, location, cost, and availability;

Ensure the quality of all event deliverables e.g. agenda, speakers, exhibition areas, networking functions and management;

Manage relationships with external service providers and partners, including event agencies;

Assist the development of marketing plans per event and monitor execution;

On-site management. During the event, you will oversee all aspects of the event, including set-up, coordination of vendors, registration, crowd control, production and troubleshoot;

Provide post-event budget reconciliation deliverables in a timely manner;

Monitor customer satisfaction per event, interpret results of post-event survey results and produce an action plan to correct issues

Establish and maintain on-going stakeholder management with internal and external stakeholders;

Manage financials of events under your responsibilities including budgeting, forecasting, revenue and cost management.

You possess:

A minimum of 10 years of work experience in events management;

Strong project management skills;

Experience in budget planning and execution;

Time management skills;

The ability to work effectively with various stakeholders;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;

Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines without compromising on quality;

A keen eye for detail to ensure that all aspects of the event, from the venue selection to the production are executed;

The instinct to work in teams;

A positive and can-do attitude.
