Engine Architect - Defence (m/w/x)
- You are responsible for the design and optimization of components, assemblies, and systems while taking into account technical, scheduling, and financial aspects (design-to-cost based on customer requirements)
- You create 3D draftings of component assemblies with CAD systems, including surface modeling (for casting parts)
- You ensure the creation of 2D and 3D visualizations to clarify technical content and set up technical presentations
- You perform the basic component calculation (FEM/analytical)
- You are in charge of PLM management (BOM creation, lifecycle promotion, etc.)
- You ensure interdisciplinary cooperation with the corresponding departments within the project environment
- You cooperate with component suppliers to clarify technical properties of components and for common component development (co-design)
- You contribute to FMEA
- You act as design component referent for selected components across all engine platforms
- You have successfully completed studies (university/ technical college) in the field of mechanical engineering / automotive manufacturing
- You possess extensive experience in the design of defence combustion engines as well as in lightweight and high-speed defence engine design.
- You have knowledge of special materials used in the defence engine field, such as magnesium, NI-Resist, and aluminum
- You have basic understanding of simulation results (1D, CFD, FEA etc.)
- You are proficient in English and German (C1), a good command of French (B2) would be an asset
- You have advanced knowledge in PTC Creo and PLM Albatros, and you are familiar with ERP Systems
- You are autonomous, committed and flexible with an organized work ethic
- You are willing to work in a multicultural team and bring strong social skills
