The EMEA Human Resources Operations Lead will be responsible for managing and improving HR processes and procedures across multiple countries within the EMEA region. This role will involve collaborating with HR teams, business leaders, and external partners to ensure alignment with company policies, compliance with local regulations, and delivery of high-quality HR services. The EMEA region includes the following countries: Switzerland, Estonia, UK, Turkey, Cyprus, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, UAE with a total headcount of approximately 700. The job holder will supervise a team of 6, decentralized in different countries.
Main Responsilibities
Lead and manage day-to-day HR operations across the EMEA region, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR processes, procedures, and workflows to enhance operational effectiveness and employee experience.
Ensure HR systems and tools are properly kept up to date, ensuring proper utilization, data accuracy, and security.
Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions, and other employee status changes.
Collaborate with Head of HR, HR Business Partners and hiring managers to ensure seamless recruitment and onboarding experiences for new hires.
Maintain HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to support employee data management and reporting.
Stay updated on relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices across the EMEA region, ensuring compliance in all HR activities.
Conduct audits and assessments to identify and mitigate HR-related risks.
Partner with legal counsel and other stakeholders to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Manage relationships with HR service providers, including payroll, benefits, and other HR-related vendors.
Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and vendor performance is regularly evaluated.
Provide guidance and support to HR teams and managers on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
Conduct investigations into employee complaints or concerns, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
10 years of progressive experience in HR management, with at least 3 to 5 years in a leadership role within a global organization, preferably in the commodity trading or financial services industry.
Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP are a plus.
Experience managing HR systems (Workday is a plus) and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Strong understanding of EMEA employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, with particular emphasis on Switzerland and UK.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to drive decision-making.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams and projects.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
