Description and Requirements
This role is critical to drive timely and accurate execution of accounts payable processes in benefit of Lenovo’s compliance and overall cash position.
These are your detailed responsibilities:
- Be part of new small centralized team supporting EMEA AP operations primary based in Bratislava
- Fully support transition and centralization of AP operations from local teams
- Actively support knowledge transfer and drive standardization of AP processes
- Proactively support automations and process enhancements to bring efficiencies
- Comply with Accounts Payable operating controls and processes
- Day to day operations including:
- External communication with vendors, invoice & payments information, recons of balances / pairing of payments & Internal communication with requestors
- Ticket submission
- LGVM management (vendors’ management system) + remittances oversight
- AP CoS communication (missing data and documents, insufficient / incorrect invoice, validation)
- Tracking invoice status: approval flow, terms alignment, IO tickets vs Invoice #
- Advance payments / Expedite payments
- Shorten payment terms in exceptional cases (communication, processing, collection of approvals, setting up in the system, etc)
- Management of wrong payments (coordination btw Vendor-COE-COS)
- Regular reporting to management
- Support audit on providing documents and explanation
Organization
You will report to EMEA AP/AR Senior Manager.
What you’ll bring/ Position Requirements:
- 1-2y+ years of experience in Accounts Payable area is a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Advanced MS Excel and technical skills is a plus)
- SAP experience is a plus
- Effective written and oral communication in English
- Strategic and innovative thinking with a focus on process improvement
- Goal-orientated individual with good time and task management
- Organized and methodical person with good analytical skills
- Minimum education – Bachelor’s degree (Economics / Finance / Business Administration is a plus)
