Electrician / Automation Engineer (m/f/d) - Pharma/GMP/SAP/PLC Programming/Servo Technology

Project / Role: For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are looking for electricians / automation engineers.

Background: The task of the Kaiseraugst packaging company is to package high-quality products in accordance with the applicable regulations for the global market. As an automation engineer/electrician (m/f/d) in our technical support team at the packaging company, you will ensure high system availability, eliminate electrical faults on our diverse packaging systems and carry out maintenance work independently. At the same time, you have the opportunity to optimize processes

The perfect candidate: has completed vocational training as an automation technician or electrician EFZ and more than 3 years of experience in this profession, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, the person has knowledge of GMP, SAP, PLC programming and servo technology.

Tasks & responsibilities:
• Responsible for the electrical availability of the process systems, including production support, troubleshooting, maintenance and problem solving (first level support)
• Identifying, analyzing and professionally resolving faults that occur in highly automated systems
• Incorporating electronic tools (e.g. PG, analyzer, etc.)
• Collaboration and implementation of continuous improvement measures (CIP)
• Independent implementation of planned maintenance activities
• GMP-compliant documentation of the activities carried out in all process-relevant systems
• Support in the management of spare and wear parts
• Willingness to work in a self-organized team with a high degree of personal responsibility in an open and collaborative environment • Compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, as well as conscious promotion of operational safety (e.g. LOTO, SHE)
• Evaluation and processing of alarms and faults

Must Haves:
• Completed vocational training as an automation technician or electrician. For foreign vocational training, we require recognition of equivalence by the EST
• At least 3 years of experience as an automation technician, electrician
• Knowledge of PLC programming and servo technology
• Experience in the Good Manufacturing Process (GMP)
• Proficient use of SAP
• Very good knowledge of German (at least B2 level), knowledge of English at least B1
