Job Description
The Corporate Communication Manager plays a crucial role in the Corporate Communication & Public Affairs team in enhancing the company’s positive reputation through helping the development and implementation of communication strategies for external and internal audiences.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications & Public Affairs this role requires a comprehensive understanding of responsible corporate communication practices, including public affairs, media relations, digital communication, internal communication and other relevant activities to support the company’s long-term goals.
This position will work on SMG Group topics whilst closely collaborating with the Communication Managers of our Business Units.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of communication strategies that are aligned with corporate business objectives
- Support of public affairs projects by preparing communication materials and assisting with stakeholder interactions
- Creation, adaptation and implementation of communication concepts
- Collaborate with communication partners to develop and update various communication assets (e.g. statements, press releases, QnAs, communication plans, etc.)
- Support of communication projects (e.g. ESG, Cybersecurity, Finance & Insurance, and more)
- Facilitate internal communication to ensure consistent messaging across the company
- Build and sustain strong collaborations with Communication Managers of business units
- Management of SMG Twitter profile
- Management of media inquiries and media monitoring
- Act as Media Spokesperson
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (FH, Uni) in Communication or similar
- Experience in corporate communications (5+ years)
- Interest in Public Affairs in Switzerland
- Passion for communication, editorial skills for addressing target groups
- Good knowledge of the Swiss media landscape
- Strong team player and networker with a hands-on mentality
- Interest in digital topics and the tech sector
- Fluent in German and English (corporate language)
