Business Development Coordinator / Tech. Kaufmann (M,W,D), 80%-100%

The Business Development Coordinator, located in Lyss, Switzerland, will play a crucial role in supporting the business development team by implementing sales strategy, supporting customer acquisition, and providing effective administrative and back-office assistance. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the company's growth and customer engagement efforts. This is a technical role where the candidate must be able to read manufacturing drawings and be knowledgeable about manufacturing processes. We are looking for talents who are eager to learn and grow their careers in a dynamic and supportive environment. Exciting opportunities for occasional travel might be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development and Client Relation: Implement sales strategy, support customer acquisition, assist with quote preparations, generate supplier RFQs, follow-ups, and other business development activities. Maintain effective relationships with customers via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Account Management: Manage and nurture existing client accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing issues promptly. Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • CRM Management: Maintain client databases and mail lists to ensure an up-to-date CRM system.
  • Marketing Support: Assist with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective clients.
  • Document Management: Review correctness of scanned paperwork, archive documents.
  • Project Support: Assist with the creation of feasibility studies. Generate FAI reports and support engineering- related activities such as incoming inspection tasks.
  • Administrative Support: Provide ad-hoc and regular administrative support as needed, including handling returned parts or documents for complaints, and supporting shipping/document activities.

Qualifications

  • Technical apprenticeship (e.g. Polymechaniker or Konstrukteur) required; further education as Technischer Kaufmann ideal.
  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commercial skills and service mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; CRM systems a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in account management in B2B is a plus.
  • Language skills: German and English written and spoken, French a plus. 
  • Training provided for candidates not knowledgeable in certain areas.
