As Associate Director, Solid Tumors Global Commercial Insights & Analytics your primary role is to help shape solid tumors oncology pipeline strategies through assessing current pipeline assets, emerging modalities and targets, continuous monitoring, primary and secondary research of disease and treatment landscape, as well as key competitors’ strategies and tactics for clinical development and commercialization and translating insights into implications for J&J solid tumor portfolio.
In this critical role, you will also be responsible for new business development analytics to support commercial evaluations for key business development projects in the solid tumor disease areas.
As an integral part of our Global Commercial Insights team (GCI), you will closely collaborate with other GCI team members responsible for insights generation and forecasting analytics supporting the same early and late development portfolio and together play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making, by integrating insights from forecast modeling, primary & secondary research and competitive intelligence.
Responsibilities:
- Help shape disease and pipeline assets strategy through gathering and analyzing competitive insights:
o Track current and future competitive landscape and development of key competitors (e.g. trial design, timeline, recruiting status, data read-out)
o Interpret the competitive information to derive implications and form recommendations.
o Lead competitive intelligence gathering, interpretation, and communication during key scientific congresses
o Lead regular competitive landscape reviews and updates to ensure the organization has a strong understanding and perspective of the emerging science in prioritized disease areas.
- Help shape disease and pipeline assets strategy through gathering and analyzing market research insights such as:
o Disease and treatment landscape research using secondary data/syndicated reports
o KOL primary market research to understand study design, current and future competitors and clinical trial benchmarks
o Qualitative TPP research
- Support the exploration/assessment of new opportunities both in early and business development setting:
o Monitor the landscape, track the emerging targets/MOAs for potential opportunities
o Support New Molecular Entity (NME) declarations by providing insights into key competitive landscape
o Help conduct due diligence of early-stage opportunities and commercial evaluation for business development projects
o Inform TPP and Forecast for early development with in-depth understanding of the competitive landscape
o Perform critical business analytics and build forecasts to support commercial evaluation of assets in business development
- Communication & collaboration:
o Collaborate with global strategic marketing partners and inform strategic planning processes
o Collaborate with regional teams on key business processes, share resources and learnings
o Manage external vendors for projects under responsibility
o Manage assigned budget
o In collaboration with other GCI team members, enhance functional insights and analytics capabilities by improving processes, leveraging innovative tools and adopting best practice
