AC Immune is seeking an IP Associate, Biology, who is responsible for managing a patent portfolio related to biologics and technology platforms - Manage IP portfolio for biology-related inventions and technology Key Responsibilities platforms (patent drafting and prosecution, including the coordination with inventors, internal stakeholders and outside patent counsels)
- Drive Freedom-To-Operate and Patentability searches, analyze search results and present the result in the form of reports and presentations
- Monitor competitors, drive competitor IP watch
- Perform patent landscape analysis for new projects
- Proactively identify and assess potentially patentable inventions as well as support inventors in related activities
- Support Oppositions, Infringement assessments and Due Diligence
Required:
- PhD or MSc. in Biology/Life Sciences
- At least 3 years' professional experience in managing patent portfolios covering biologics
- Part qualified or fully qualified European Patent Attorney with prior professional experience in patent drafting, prosecution and FTO assessment in biology-related field
- Personal features include:
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize, analyze and communicate key information
- Strong interpersonal skills for building networks with key experts and ensuring the interface with internal departments
- Ability to adapt priorities to meet company needs while maintaining effectiveness
- Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Team player
- Leadership and project management skills
- Good spoken and written English are required
