Responsibilities
Provide EDI production support by researching and resolving questions, failures, and issues. Build cases, design, and complete test scenarios, stage and process data and coordinate the promotion to SAP/JDE ERP production systems.
Lead communication between internal and external collaborators to ensure timely resolution of order interchange issues and transmission of electronic order notifications.
Independently sets priorities, meets deadlines, and handles multiple tasks. Provides practical knowledge during team meetings to increase team performance outcomes and serves as a knowledge source for peers.
Use dashboards to supervise, analyze, report, and determine root cause of order errors. Develops and implements standard operating procedures that impact order management, fulfillment outcomes, and the customer experience.
Provide status updates on all issues/requests to Order Management leadership. Bring up to Order Management leadership when deadlines will not be met.
Continuously look for operational efficiency opportunities and engage in continuous improvement initiatives to increase EDI utilization. Implement EDI Transactions: 850, 855, 856, 810, 832, 845, 849, 867, 820 and others as identified by business needs.
Ensure EDI documents are built and implemented to specifications as provided by the customer and in compliance with BD’s EDI strategy.
Responsible for independently addressing under-performing EDI utilization customers to drive customer behavior to 100%.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or relevant areas, or in lieu of degree, a high school diploma plus five (5) years of experience.
Certifications
Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification preferred
Project Management certification is preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI preferred
Experience
Minimum of two (2) year’s experience with ERP system(s) and EDI setups.
Minimum of two (2) year’s experience in a similar role (export, logistics, order management, customer service).
Minimum of two (2) year’s prior experience in a related industry (i.e., medical device, healthcare supply chain, pharmaceutical).
A minimum of five (5) years of work experience related to supply chain, order management, logistics, or related field.
Proficient in the ANSI X.12 and XML formats preferred.
Competencies
Basic knowledge of BW Queries, EDISIM, and Editor tools desired.
Must have strong time management and multi-tasking capabilities as well as excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and a broad knowledge of business processes.
Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with both internal and external technical and non-technical groups and have demonstrated presentation and documentation skills.
Must be self-motivating and able to work independently while sharing knowledge and mentoring other team members.
Versatile learner with the ability to function in a changing environment.
Committed and results-driven, independently seek continuous improvement opportunities
Proficiency in standard business computer software applications (MS Word, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
End to End supply chain knowledge, preferably in a distribution environment.
Travel
Need to be available to travel 25% of the time.
