Technical skills

• Excellent Data manipulation skills in MS Excel, VBA
• Understanding of BI tools
• Good understanding of MS Word and Power point

• A self-motivated, logical and organised approach
• A flexible and proactive approach with the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
• To be a reliable team worker with the ability to work on own initiative where required
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of the constraints of using sensitive and confidential data
• Proactive and inquisitive in approach.
• Adhere to company policies and guidelines

• Domain knowledge
• Ability to see beyond the raw data and provide inference.

• Understanding of the insurance process
• Problem Solving skills to solve mostly analytical problems, but must have the ability to extract technical requirements from a business problem

• Must be proactive and have a “think out of the box” attitude to problem solving

Interpersonal Skills

• Needs to be able to interact with all levels of the business; as will become the SPOC for questions in area of expertise.
• Excellent communication skills - must have the ability to present complex analysis to non-technical people
• Must be able to work collaboratively, and create alliances - this role will be responsible for finding issues within the data and source systems, but will not be able to actually fix them.
• Must be willing to act as a point of contact for other businesses.
• Must be diplomatic, willing to find the solution rather than look at the problem
