Agronomy Field Scientist & Digital Specialist (m/w/d)

Job description:

  • Implementation & execution of field trials - delivering highest trial quality and in time data submission as basis for decision making
  • Interaction with key stakeholders and within the team across all phases of fieldtrialing: from planning to execution and reporting for best data quality
  • Actively support the digital transformation & trialing automation across the fieldstation sites
  • Adding data science expertise to the team, interacting with other functions and support the implementing of new ways of working in the area of more automated field trialing
  • Testing new technologies and support good decision making with critical field insights
  • Test and develop new methods around field trialing for constant improving of current ways of working
  • Actively support the implementation of an HSE & Quality culture across the field station team

Required profile:

  • Agronomic background or experience in field trialing, specific training in Crop protection, experimental field technics or similar expertise
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Plant Sciences, or a related field
  • Ideally having field trialing knowledge / keen to learn
  • Bringing IT, digital and data science knowledge to the team
  • Gaining fast knowledge of the safety and quality standards at the field station
  • Understanding the role's contribution to the Syngenta strategy
  • Implementing Syngenta standards in daily work
  • Open mindset and good communicator
  • Good English (written and spoken) and ideally German or French (spoken) language skills
