After-School Activities - Football Coach

The International School of Lausanne (ISL) is a leading not-for-profit, International Baccalaureate (IB) World School set in the French speaking part of Switzerland. From August 2024 to June 2025

The Football Coach will join the ISL Football coaching team within the Secondary Schoolprogramme. The Football Coach will be responsible for designing and implementing all training sessions. Sessions are expected to be conducted to the highest possible standards with developmentally appropriate rigour and physicality.

The training sessions last between 1hour and 1 hour 15 minutes and they take place 2 times per week (days to be defined).There will be 5-7 tournaments during the season and it is expected that the coach is available to coach during these tournaments. Most of the tournaments take place during the week.

Qualifications and Qualities Required

• A recognised qualificationin Football coaching is preferable

• Experienced in teaching students aged 11-18 years

• An understanding of holistic based coaching strategies is preferable

• Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate sessions which stimulate and motivate students

• Strong interpersonal skills and intercultural awareness

• Adaptability, flexibility, dynamism and a sense of humour

• Excellent verbal communication skills in English with very good listening skills; any other language is an asset
