Job Description
EMEA Recruitment is delighted to partner with an exciting business as it looks to recruit an Accountant for its Basel office.
As the Accountant, you will be a pivotal member of the Accounting team, working within a department that promotes internal development and an exciting career path!
Key responsibilities of Accountant include, but are not limited to:
- General ledger accounting - journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, analysis, etc
- Assisting with financial statements - preparation for budgets and forecasting
- Preparing documentation to support financial audits
- Adhoc reporting and analysis, relating to the group profitability
- Mentoring juniors within the team - providing assistance, guidance and sharing ideas & best practice
- Assisting seniors with the monitoring of internal controls
Candidate Requirements:
- CPA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding and experience of financial accounting
- Communication: Fluent English (written and spoken) with German being a strong advantage
- Experience in a SOX environment is an asset!
