As the Director of Digital Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical evolution of our digital commerce platforms, performance marketing, and customer experience. Your strategic leadership will be crucial in shaping the future of our digital channels, ensuring long-term revenue growth and enhanced customer engagement. You'll be responsible for setting the strategic vision, success metrics, and balancing investments in ongoing projects while exploring innovative product and platform opportunities.

Tasks:
  • Lead Performance Marketing: Develop and optimize digital marketing strategies across platforms to drive customer acquisition and maximize ROI
  • Oversee Digital Technical Improvements: Collaborate with IT and architecture teams to enhance front-end and middleware capabilities, ensuring a seamless user experience. Define technical requirements and oversee the integration of new technologies to enhance digital sales platforms
  • Drive Digital Data & Analytics: Develop robust data platforms and leverage analytics to inform decision-making and optimize digital sales performance. Oversee the creation of dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time visibility into digital sales performance
  • Lead Omnichannel Strategy: Integrate online and offline channels to create a cohesive customer experience, driving leads and conversions across all touchpoints. Develop and implement strategies to drive leads and conversions across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency in messaging and customer experience
  • Manage Digital Sales Performance: Set targets, monitor financial performance, and ensure the digital sales team meets or exceeds budget goals
  • Guide Agile Development Teams: Oversee agile squads, ensuring alignment with digital sales objectives and fostering continuous improvement
  • Digital Marketing communications: Execute integrated digital marketing communications across platforms to enhance brand messaging and customer engagement. Coordinate with creative, content, and media teams to deliver cohesive and effective digital campaigns
Requirements:
  • The successful candidate will have in-depth experience in developing and delivering new products and a demonstrable successful track record of hands-on leadership of design thinking
  • At least 10 years of commercial experience in digital sales, including at least 5 years in a management position, with strong leadership, management and analytical skills
  • Strong technical experience of 7+ years working with a leading CMS platform and a strong understanding of IT architecture especially in front end and middleware
  • Strong experience of 7+ with performance marketing and strong hands-on marketing platform understanding (GMP, Meta, etc)
  • Solid track record of achieving business objectives utilizing influence skills with significant indirect dependencies both internally and externally.
  • Extensive experience working cross-functionally within a large scale, complex, data driven and technologically innovative organization
  • Relevant university degree and fluency in English and professional level German
