Overview: The Head of IT Shared Services is responsible for leading and managing the IT shared services division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT services across the organization. This role involves developing and implementing IT strategies, managing IT infrastructure, overseeing support services, and ensuring that IT operations align with the company’s business goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute the strategic plan for the IT shared services division.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the IT shared services team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management to align IT strategies with business objectives especially within IT Risk and CSV.
- Service Delivery Management:
- Ensure the efficient delivery of IT services across the organization, including infrastructure, applications, and support.
- Implement and maintain IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and best practices.
- Monitor and report on service performance, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met.
- Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and data centers.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Plan and manage IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades and migrations.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the IT shared services budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet business needs and project requirements.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Risk and Compliance:
- Ensure IT operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and policies – ISO 27001.
- Implement and maintain robust IT security measures to protect company data and systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve IT service delivery.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the IT shared services team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably in a shared services environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, service management, and IT Risk/CSV.
- Experience with ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Vendor and contract management experience.
