As our Head of Technical Sales APAC you are responsible for transforming Speedgoat’s presence in the APAC region by establishing a direct sales model. You will play a key role in building strong local teams, redefining sales strategies, and optimizing market presence to drive revenue growth. Collaborating closely with internal teams, such as Business Development, Marketing, and Operations, you will lead efforts to establish Speedgoat’s direct sales channels, by supporting the setup of regional offices, ensuring a successful adoption of our products. By combining analytical market insights with hands-on sales expertise and a good technical background, you will ensure a smooth transition while adapting strategies to local market dynamics.
- Market Transformation – Lead the transition to a direct sales approach in designated APAG regions. For the first two years this will also offer the opportunity for extended on-site stays. Manage change effectively, ensuring clear communication and minimizing disruptions with existing partners.
- Market Analysis & Opportunity Assessment - Conduct detailed market analysis to assess potential for direct sales, understanding customer needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory factors. Leverage data insights to guide strategy adjustments and identify growth opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with the Business Development, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure alignment of market entry strategies and regional initiatives. Collaborate with the Management team to prioritize target markets, allocate resources, and set expansion goals. Coordinate with Finance and Legal departments to ensure compliance with local regulations and budget management.
- Support in Building Up Local Offices & Teams – Collaborate with internal departments to support the setup of local offices, ensuring compliance with regional regulations and considering local business practices. Build, train, and manage regional sales teams to drive performance and achieve revenue targets. Cultivate strong relationships with the local offices of business partners, integrators, and key stakeholders to increase brand visibility and market adoption.
- Sales Strategy & Execution – Design and implement go-to-market strategies tailored to specific regions, ensuring alignment with local customer needs. Set clear sales targets, KPIs, and pricing models while optimizing customer acquisition and retention strategies. Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospects and strategic partnerships to establish Speedgoat’s presence in new markets. Leverage market insights and performance data to adjust tactics and scale successful strategies within the regions.
- Driving Growth, Customer Retention & Scaling Operations – Monitor and optimize the performance of transitioned markets, with a focus on customer retention and satisfaction during the transition and to achieve sustainable growth and profitability. Provide ongoing support, training, and resources to regional teams to help them meet their sales targets. Continuously refine sales processes, tools, and strategies based on feedback from regional teams and internal departments.
Sales & Market Transition Expertise
- Proven experience (5-8 years) in market development, sales transformation, or sales management, ideally in B2B or a technical industry.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing go-to-market strategies to drive growth in new regions.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, set sales targets, and achieve revenue goals.
Independent yet Collaborative Mindset
- Proven track record of independently managing business development initiatives, ideally with experience in establishing new sales locations or markets
- Strong ability to collaborate and synchronize with supporting business partners and departments, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regional goals.
Technical Understanding & Interest
- Solid understanding of technical products or services and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- A strong interest in technology with a willingness to continuously learn about Speedgoat’s offerings and market trends.
- Experience in providing product training to regional teams and partners
- Familiarity with MathWorks products MATLAB & Simulink and Model-Based Design is a plus
- Knowledge of control systems, hardware interfaces and communication protocols is a plus

- Strong project management skills to oversee market entry initiatives and regional office setup.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel to support regional teams, partners, and new market initiatives.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics or similar, or an engineering degree with additional education in economics
- Relevant certifications in sales, project management, or technical domains are advantageous.
