Tasks

• Leading, Motivating and developing the Product Design & Engineering Global Team
• Enable the development of products that meet customer needs and anticipate future market trends and global account technology roadmaps.
• Strengthen global organization through technical training and process global standardization
• Ensuring that processes between the teams run efficiently (interfaces to process engineering, sales, production, project teams, etc.)
• Implementing the global product design strategy while considering quality and economic aspects 
• Evaluate new process technologies and proposals for technical solutions
• Developing and defining products and components according to customer specifications and industry-specific standards
• Leading projects and ensuring that costs, deadlines and quality are met
• Coordinate with the Sales and Production departments to further develop products and processes
• Responsible for the development of automation solutions and equipment for spring production
• Creating concepts and Design drafts
• Creating and maintaining product data and material master data
• Defining, creating and maintaining product documentation (FMEA, risk analysis, spare parts concept, operating instructions)
• Supporting prototypes until they are ready for production
• Planning, co-ordinating and implementing changes
• Taking on tasks in CAD system administration as a possible, extended field of activity

Requirements

• BSc degree in engineering or relevant technical field
• Experience in mechanical engineering and project management (Development and Design)
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop teams
• Good knowledge of MS-Office and CAD, experience with SolidWorks is a plus
• Experience in working with an ERP system, experience with SAP is a plus
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear manner in German and English
