Tasks
- Design, plan, organize, and conduct scientific experiments for the development and timely delivery of biologic drug products (DP), processes, and procedures with minimal supervision.
- Independently carry out and plan specific analytical tests for experiments and related stability studies.
- Document raw data from scientific experiments, analyze, interpret, and report results in collaboration with the Functional Lead.
- Support planning and contribute to the design of future experiments based on obtained results.
- Organize, prepare, and coordinate shipments of materials (e.g., samples, tools, and equipment).
- Participate in function-specific project and team meetings as needed.
- Review and verify raw data generated by colleagues, including approval of tests/experiments conducted by others.
- Assist in the preparation of scientific protocols, reports, and lab procedures, as well as contribute to the development of SOPs.
- Take responsibility for specific tools or equipment, ensuring their maintenance and qualification.
- Develop and optimize new or existing laboratory methods and processes and contribute to implementing new technologies.
- Take on roles related to operational excellence and/or innovation.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory standards for quality, ethics, health, safety, and environmental protection.
- Proactively resolve problems using professional concepts and company guidelines.
- Actively promote knowledge exchange and contribute to achieving team objectives.
Requirements
- Qualification as Lab Scientist/Laboratory Technician with a focus on Pharmaceutical Technology or a Master of Science (MSc) in Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical Technology, or equivalent.
- Ideally 1-3 years of experience as a lab scientist in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, focusing on biologics formulation and process development.
- Hands-on experience in formulation development and analytics for biologics, including lyophilization and primary packaging development.
- Strong knowledge in developing special protein deliveries and high-concentration protein formulations.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Solid skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS) and basic experience with digital lab tools.
- Basic understanding of statistical data analysis and presentation skills is advantageous.
- Highly structured and organized work style with experience in a development laboratory environment, following GLP and HSE guidelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
