The Manufacturing Engineer position at Abbott MCS Zurich is an exciting opportunity within the medical device division of Abbott Laboratories. Here are the key details:

Responsibilities:

• Propose new or improved technologies and processes to enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiencies, cost, and regulatory compliance.
• Support equipment lifecycle management, including evaluation, design/development, procurement, qualification/validation, and maintenance.
• Optimize and validate complex manufacturing processes using Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Investigate and solve production issues as part of the team responsible for non-conforming material reports (NCMRs) or corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Drive continuous improvements in operational excellence (OPEX).

Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 0-3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the Med-Tech industry.
• Familiarity with medical standards (ISO 13485 / FDA 21CFR820 / MDR / GMP) is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing electronic products and/or Med-Tech industry is advantageous.
• Knowledge of SAP (ERP system), Windchill (PLM system), Solid Works (CAD), and INFOR EAM (CMMS).
• English Level C2 is required; German proficiency is a plus.
