PhD Student in the field of membranes for next-generation water electrolysis
- Synthesize and characterize catalyst nanoparticles for radical scavenging and gas recombination
- Develop new proton exchange membranes comprising nanoparticles
- Characterize new materials and components in the water electrolysis cell
- Study composition-structure-property relationships of developed materials
- Elaborate prospects and limitations for next-generation water electrolyzers
- Publish in international leading scientific journals, disseminate results at international conferences and symposia
- Support teaching at ETH Zürich
- University degree in chemistry or materials sciences
- Strong background in synthetic work
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Creative, hands-on personality
- Well-developed communication skills and good command of the english language (spoken and written)
- Knowledge in electrochemistry helpful
- Programming skills would be an additional benefit
