Scientist in Neutron Diffraction (Tenure Track)
- Responsibility for and development of the recently upgraded neutron diffractometer DMC, and support of the external user program in diffraction
- Leading an independent research program on solid state materials using neutron scattering, e.g. quantum, energy, and/or functional materials, crystallography, or solid-state chemistry
- You will acquire third-party funds for executing research, instrumentation and/or computational projects
- You will publish the results of your research in peer-reviewed journals, and present your findings at conferences and workshops
- You hold a PhD degree in experimental physics, chemistry, material sciences or another related field and have comprehensive experience in diffraction techniques
- Demonstrated skill and experience in the following areas is advantageous:
- You are fluent in English, display good communication skills, and enjoy working in a team-oriented interdisciplinary environment
