Windows Server Engineer - Active Directory
Windows Server Engineer - Active Directory / Azure / SQL - this is a long term contract opportunity to join a globally operating Basel based company in the financial sector.
Your tasks:
- Implementing and maintaining core Windows Server services, including security hardening, automated deployment, patching, and lifecycle management
- Managing and maintaining AD, AAD, SQL Server, Azure ARC, Citrix VDI, SCOM, and SCCM
- Defining and delivering services supporting diverse technology stack projects
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements
- Ensuring security best practices are followed and implemented across all systems
- Providing technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders
Your experience/knowledge:
- Strong Windows Server and Active Directory expertise
- Proven experience in building, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft based solutions
- High-level knowledge of Windows security features, operating system hardening including CIS, NIST, Microsoft and experience with firewalls and zoning concepts
- Proficiency in a scripting language, ideally PowerShell
- Experience in implementing Azure infrastructure for enterprise customers
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer science or a related field
- Language skills: English - fluent verbally and written
