FPT Motorenforschung AG in Arbon has around 250 highly qualified employees and
functions as the main innovation center for FPT Industrial. The site is involved in
developing future powertrain solutions (not only in electrified powertrains, hybrids and
fuel cells, but also novel engines concepts and alternative fuels) and is therefore at the
forefront of a transition towards a future of alternative propulsion systems.
We are currently looking to fill the position as
Team Leader Electronics & Components for Electrified
Powertrains (f/m/d)
Your tasks
- Design, development and testing of electrical/electronic circuits and systems
- Prototyping and integration of power systems used in electrified powertrains
including inverters, HV battery systems, DCDC converters and others - Managing the engineering team and taking responsibility for budgeting and
planning - Leading the development and test procedures and defining the specifications of
the facilities, tools and software requirements - Definition of periodic measurement programs as well as special measurements
- Ensuring the required laboratory set-up of the test systems and supporting the
staff in the execution of measurement programs - Analysis and evaluation of measurements and compilation of reports
- Evaluation and procurement of suitable reference devices and sensors and
agreement of technical specifications with suppliers

- Proven record of accomplishments in design, prototyping and testing of electric
circuits within the automotive sector and experience with electrified powertrains - Strong attention to detail in both, experimental setups and data analysis
- You combine the ability to lead a small team of engineers and technicians with
the willingness to also work hands-on with them on the shop floor - Excellent communicator who guarantees a constant flow of information between
the teams in Arbon (CH), Turin (IT) and Coventry (UK) and keeps her/his team
at all times informed about ongoing proceedings - Language requirements: fluency in English (oral and in writing) at least at level
C1 is an indispensable must, with additional German skills being considered as
highly desirable, but not mandatory (fully paid German courses would otherwise
be provided on-site during working hours with participation being encouraged) - Willingness to travel (~15%)
- Permission to work in Switzerland (not needed if you hold a Swiss, EU-26 or
EFTA passport!)

week off as a compensation for 10 minutes extra per day, so in effect 30 to 35 days of
holidays for a 40:50 hours week), home office opportunities of up to 12 days per month
