Summer Camp Staff at Leysin American School (LAS)
Join our team this summer at the Leysin American School (LAS) in the Swiss Alps! We are hiring for several positions to help guide and support our students, ages 9-16, across various roles, including Dormitory Heads, Activity Leaders, Teachers, Nurses, and Administrators. This summer program offers a collaborative and dynamic environment, focused on student safety, engagement, and personal growth.
- Dormitory Head: Oversee dorm safety and create a welcoming environment for students. Plan and lead dorm activities, work closely with students, and maintain regular communication with parents.
- Activity Leader: Lead afternoon clubs and activities to keep students engaged. You’ll create a fun and inclusive environment, ensuring student safety and participation.
- Teacher: Teach morning classes in a specific subject area, following prepared course descriptions. Help students engage through creative and inspiring lessons.
- Administrator: Support the summer program's organization by handling logistics, coordinating with parents and the community, and ensuring smooth operations.
- Nurse: Work as part of our healthcare team, providing care and ensuring the well-being of students and staff.
- Oversee student safety and well-being
- Participate in staff orientation and dorm coverage
- Engage in evening camp programming and weekend excursions
- Support students as part of the “Families” program
- Be adaptable and ready to respond to changing needs
Requirements: Minimum one year of university education and experience with children. Teaching positions require classroom experience, Dormitory Heads need residential life experience, and Nurses must have a nursing license. All hires will require a background check.
