Senior Strategy Implementation Advisor

We are looking to hire a talented, innovative, passionate Senior Strategy Implementation Advisor to join the CEO Office and directly report to Head CEO Office. If you have strong strategy, finance, problem solving, influencing, and relationship-building skills, this role is an excellent platform to take your career to the next level. A background in energy is preferred but not a must-have.
Although the role is preferably based in Olten, it can also be located at our Alpiq offices in Lausanne, Madrid, Milano, Berlin or Paris


Your main responsibilities

  • Lead and drive the process around strategic projects and programs end to end with the focus on creating value.
  • Taking ownership of ad-hoc cross-divisional strategic projects /programs and strategic initiatives in different business or corporate areas.
  • Drive continuous improvement in strategic planning processes 
  • Improve Simulations capability, working with internal SMEs and external modelers to design models to create new insights into short, medium and long-term corporate strategy to lead value creation over the long term.
  • Work with leadership teams and various functions (e.g. Asset, Origination, Trading, Corporate) to ensure that their strategic planning and output is aligned with the corporate strategy.
  • Establishing trusting relations, connectivity, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Being internal ambassador for company values, culture, and leadership initiatives.
  • Simplifying organization decision-making process to better serve business needs.


Your profile

  • You have a degree on economics or engineering, or equivalent proven practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic consulting, corporate development 
  • Thorough knowledge of project management methodologies and tools - PMP certification would be a plus
  • High level of judgement and professional maturity.
  • Excellent modeling, problem solving, analytical and numerical skills.
  • Ability to handle well time pressure and multi-tasking in fast-paced situations.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively across geographies and functions.
  • Absolutely fluent in English. French and German strong pluses.
  • Reliability and accountability
