Your opportunity
As a Senior Revenue Recognition Specialist, you will be responsible for building and enhancing the revenue recognition function, aligning it with business growth goals and ensuring compliance and operational excellence. Here’s how you’ll contribute:
- Develop and enhance revenue recognition practices aligned with business growth.
- Advise on complex deals, collaborating with Deal Desk to optimize ACV and ARR.
- Oversee monthly revenue close in NetSuite, producing insights on revenue trends and metrics.
- Ensure alignment with IFRS 15 and ASC 606 standards, support audits, and manage SOX controls.
- Partner across teams, providing expertise on revenue policies and contract impacts.
- Ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance, and function scalability.
About you
This is an ideal role for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and high growth environment, working hands-on and developing a function from its current manual state to an automated one. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact at a high-growth tech unicorn.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred
- Min. 4 years of experience in revenue recognition with expertise in SaaS revenue models and a solid understanding of IFRS 15 and ASC 606
- Proficiency in NetSuite or similar and Salesforce
- Proven track record in managing revenue recognition, establishing best practices
- Team player with great interpersonal skills
- A desire to acquire fresh knowledge and enhance existing processes/policies
- Process-orientation, organized, diligent, detail-oriented, well-structured
- Proactive and independent working style with a good sense of when to escalate issues
- Able to work independently on your own initiative and as part of a team
- High degree of flexibility in handling new assignments and the ability to adapt to change in the work environment
- As our business language is English, strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
