For our Digital Transformation team based in Zurich & Berne we are looking for a dynamic and technically proficient individual to join our organisation.
As the Senior Abacus Application Manager, you will hold ownership of our Abacus ERP system, directly influencing its optimal performance to meet the needs of our organization. We're looking for a seasoned Abacus expert who will manage and enhance core functions like finance, HR. You’ll be, leading system developments, maintaining interfaces, and ensuring data flows smoothly to support automation and data-driven decision-making across our teams. Your proactive management of recurring tasks, like year-end closings, will be essential in keeping our operations efficient and reliable.
YOUR MAIN TASKS
- Abacus System Management: Act as the key technical lead for the Abacus ERP, taking hands-on responsibility for integration, operation, troubleshooting, and future development to align with organizational objectives.
- Project Leadership: Develop and implement mid- to long-term roadmaps for ERP enhancements and oversee associated project costs.
- System Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of the ERP system, including managing data connectivity, interfaces, and system updates.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with technical and business stakeholders, translating organizational needs into effective ERP solutions, especially in finance, HR, and project management.
- User Support & Problem solving: Provide hands-on, expert-level support to Abacus users, troubleshooting complex technical and functional issues, and coordinating with business users, IT, and external implementation partners.
- Knowledge Transfer: Plan and conduct regular training sessions, develop user documentation, and maintain knowledge pages on the intranet.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Experience: Proven experience specifically in managing and maintaining Abacus ERP systems, with strong hands-on expertise in Abacus functions, particularly in finance modules. Experience in the NGO sector is a plus.
- Education: Master’s degree in IT, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, with complementary experience in the other domain.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced understanding of ERP systems, data connectivity, and the development of interfaces. Experience in automation and project management is highly valued.
- Collaboration: Skilled in cross-functional team collaboration and adept at communicating technical solutions to business users, across hierarchy levels.
- Languages: Proficient in English (working proficiency). German, French, or Spanish is a plus
