SwissDrones’ uncrewed solutions are designed for the effective replacement of manned helicopter operations at reduced costs, significantly lowered carbon emissions, and with increased safety.

We are looking for a Sales Project Engineer 80-100% (a) in Buchs SG, Switzerland.

You will play a pivotal role in successfully matching customer pain/requirements to proposed SwissDrones technical solutions. You will be working in a fast-paced and very dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Effectively lead internal and external stakeholders to identify technical solutions that would meet customer needs. 
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team and /or the prospect/customer to understand customer requirements and provide technical guidance throughout the sales process. 
  • Conduct thorough assessments of client needs, propose tailored solutions, and offer expert advice on the implementation and integration of our products and services. 
  • Utilise your technical knowledge to effectively communicate how our products/solutions can address customer challenges, meet their requirements, and drive tangible results. 
  • Convert customer requirements into a clearly defined configuration and manage it end-to-end. 
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses. 
  • Follow up with design organization on custom engineering projects and with production organization on production status to effectively manage delivery deadlines 
  • Use and comprehend engineering & schematic drawings, graphic instructions, and other visual aids to understand and explain complex engineering solutions 
  • Demonstrate a customer-centric approach by actively listening to customer feedback and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to align pre-sales activities with overall business objectives. 
  • Share customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence to contribute to product development and refine sales strategies.
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field. 
  • Previous experience in a pre-sales, technical sales, or project management role, preferably within the aviation or engineering industry, is highly desirable. 
  • Knowledge & experience in project management methodologies & tools 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Active listening skills and the ability to tailor communication to diverse stakeholders. 
  • Knowledge in UAV payloads is an advantage 
  • Self-driven, solution oriented team player with a can-do and hands-on attitude, strong safety & quality mindset 
  • High degree of flexibility, comfortable working in a dynamic and growing company 
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written); any additional language is an advantage
