Purchase Manager
For a dynamic online company we're looking for a Purchase Manager.
The person will lead the procurement team and manage supplier relationships globally, with a strong focus on China. The Purchase Manager will ensure that the supply chain operations are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the business objectives.
Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers, ensuring favourable terms and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier performance to inform purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and support new product launches.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and international trade laws.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
- Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar role, with a focus on
international procurement of voluminous goods. - Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and global sourcing,
particularly from China. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Business fluent Italian and English
