Your position
You will lead the division of Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology at the University Children's Hospital Basel. As a research group leader, you will lead a clinical or translational research team and create a fertile environment for successful and excellent research within the research departments of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Basel and Children's Hospital Basel. You will support other pediatric specialties at University Children's Hospital Basel with complex pediatric treatment decisions and promote innovative therapeutic approaches. In addition, you will contribute to pediatric clinical pharmacology training of medical students, residents and senior physicians as well as to our Master and PhD programs.
Your profile
You are an MD or clinical pharmacist, ideally trained in pediatrics with an internationally recognized, outstanding record of excellence in Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology research. For instance, in the areas of pediatric clinical trials, pharmacometrics, modelling and simulation, personalised pediatric pharmacology, developmental pharmacology or drug formulations and delivery. You have an affinity with the integration of new digital and data-driven technologies (big data approaches, machine learning, artificial intelligence). You have a broad clinical experience in pediatric pharmacology which allows you to support complex treatment decision in different pediatric subspecialties. You have proven leadership experience and excellent communication skills in an academic environment that allows you to create an attractive working environment, inspire creative thinking and action, and encourage your employee. You speak German or have the willingness to learn German to be able to provide clinical consultation advice
