Job Description
you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and evolution of our revolutionary products. You will be responsible for defining and prioritizing product features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality hardware and software solutions that redefine the standards of cataract surgery.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Roadmap: Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on market needs, customer feedback, and technological advancements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of the product roadmap.
- Clinical Validation: Drive clinical validation programs for newly developed features, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and meeting the needs of surgeons and patients.
- User Experience: Champion user-centric design principles to create intuitive and impactful user experiences for surgeons and healthcare professionals.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality hardware and software products by collaborating with quality assurance teams and adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Resource Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive resource plans to ensure the efficient allocation of human and material resources across various product development projects.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management or product ownership roles, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Technical Background: Strong understanding of hardware and software product development processes, with experience in building and launching complex products.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Team Player: Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify market opportunities, anticipate challenges, and formulate effective solutions.
Prefered Qualifications
- Advanced degree in engineering, optics, or a related field.
- Experience working with surgical navigation systems or medical imaging devices.
- Experience working with third party manufacturers and system suppliers.
- Understanding of diagnostics in vision care and/or cataract surgery, preferably also of the posterior and anterior segments of the eye along with experience with optical coherence tomography (OCT).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the medical device industry, such as FDA regulations and ISO standards.
- Proficiency in optics, including a deep understanding of light propagation, lens design, and optical imaging principles.
