Speedgoat develops and sells complete software and hardware development platforms for real-time simulation and testing. Our customers are engineers and scientists developing next generation controls, DSP and vision technologies such as for autonomous cars, electric aircrafts, robots, smart grids, power plants, smartphones and augmented reality technologies. Our solutions allow them to continuously verify and validate their designs along a complete Model-Based Design workflow using MATLAB® and Simulink®, including virtual and real physical testing.

Organization

Your job title is Product Manager, and you will be a member of the Product Management team in the Technologies Department, reporting to the Head of Product Management.

The Product Management team’s core responsibility is to understand and translate market needs into new product requirements, ensure a smooth ramp up and market launch, coordinate the product lifecycle and manage the whole product portfolio of Speedgoat solutions, mainly Speedgoat real-time target machines and I/O modules. We closely collaborate with the Technologies development teams, Production, Markets and Sales, but also with all other departments, and external partners and suppliers.

Responsibilities

You play a crucial role in the Product Management team, overseeing a diverse portfolio of I/O modules. These modules encompass a wide array of functionalities, including a broad range of communication protocols, sensor interfaces, switches and more. Your core responsibilities are as follows:

• Translate business strategy and market needs into product strategies and product requirements.
• Collaborate with the project manager to align on project schedules and follow the established timeline, ensuring that cost, quality, and requirements are met.
• Manage and plan the product lifecycle, including product changes, maintenance, and sunsets.
• Plan and drive product launches.
• Manage the product portfolio, positioning, and pricing strategies, ensuring profitability and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers for product specifications.
• Research latest technology trends, identify and evaluate system components.
• Create and review technical documentation.
• Coordinate internal communication by providing regular product updates, including new products and roadmap.
• Support Sales and Market departments by providing the necessary product information and knowledge for technical solution proposals, communication, promotions, and market positioning.

Job requirements

• University degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent education.
• Preferably with work experience or additional training in technical product management or project management.
• Technical knowledge of communication protocols including CAN, ARINC 429, EtherCAT, OPC UA, and sensor interfaces such as RVDT and Resolver.
• Familiarity with various protocols in automotive, industrial automation, and aerospace industries is an additional plus.
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with new technologies and industry standards.
• Knowledge of real-time simulation and testing is desirable.
• Reliable, and able to take ownership, work independently and drive product launches.
• Sharp critical, technical, and communication skills in English (written and spoken), and ability to build relationships, solve problems, make decisions, and build consensus.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong entrepreneurial spirit.
