Your role
- Develop digital twin models for patients with cerebrovascular diseases such as stroke or intracranial aneurysms.
- Apply cutting edge deep learning image processing techniques to quantify anatomical variability in patient cohorts, thereby enhancing predictive models for the cerebrovascular system.
- Process and analyse clinical and medical imaging data from hospitals, include research tools and physical simulations from collaborators.
- Conduct a translational research project, contributing to personalized medicine and digital twins in healthcare, by developing reliable tools for clinicians, bridging research and practice.
- Be an active contributor to the EU project GEMINI, which aims to bring digital twins to the bedside
- Perform research under the guidance from both ZHAW and University of Zurich
- Publish results and attend international conferences.
- Support with teaching activities (to a reasonable extent)
Your profile
- MSc in computer science, (biomedical) engineering, mathematics, physics, (bio-) medicine or a related subject
- Passion to employ medical data research to the benefit of the patient
- Collaborative mindset to work in an interdisciplinary and diverse environment
- High level of dedication, responsibility and ethical values
- Knowledge of programming languages such as e.g., Python, Julia, R or other programming languages
- Research experience and/or achievements are advantageous but not mandatory
