We are looking for a Multinational Team Manager, who will lead, manage and develop a team of around 15 to 20 team members from multiple Lines of Business (LOBs). You will be based in our Unterfoehring office near Munich.
We are open to candidates who are seeking both full-time work and 50% part-time work in a job-sharing framework.
Your Team
At Allianz Commercial our Multinational teams support our clients, brokers and market-facing business teams by providing expert support in multinational solutions and international insurance programmes. Our aim is to seamlessly onboard new commercial and large corporate clients and provide exceptional customer service throughout their lifecycle with Allianz. By taking ownership for our clients, we provide a single point of contact for their risk servicing needs, while always striving to achieve better and faster service.
Based in Munich/Unterfoehring and reporting directly to the Regional Head of Multinational Germany/Switzerland & Central Europe, you will head up a multi-lines of business (LOB) team based in Munich and Hamburg (15 to 20 people), ensuring effective end-to-end client service and also driving efficient support across underwriting, accounts, claims, credit control and brokers/clients and the global Allianz Multinational Network.
The Impact You Will Have
Managing and developing a large multi-LOB team, you will take responsibility for delivering expert multinational solutions and services and driving operational execution. You will represent Allianz Commercial Multinational in front of our brokers and multinational clients ensuring our client-service focus. In addition you will take part in and drive the delivery of a range of regional projects and initiatives.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
People Management
Leading, managing and developing 15 to 20 team members according to Allianz standards and with the highest integrity, including performance management and encouraging the team’s development
Continuing the transformation of the team into a client-facing unit, driving innovation, and taking on market-facing responsibility for international insurance program (IIP) accounts.
Operations Management
Managing large multi-LOB portfolio of approximately 250m EUR GWP including the implementation of our company strategy, aligning with stakeholders regarding Service Level Agreements (SLAs) such as availability, service performance, response times, cost and quality
Consistently meet and report on operational KPIs/SLAs for the team to deliver and manage stakeholder expectations
Developing, managing and maintaining effective working relationships with all key local and regional stakeholders. Liaising with Underwriting LOB Heads and our Distribution colleagues for smooth cross-functional collaboration
Supporting our Distribution and Underwriting teams to acquire new customers by developing customer and broker-tailored solutions both within LOB and across various LOBs
Ensuring that the team delivers results within agreed strategic framework and contributing to strategy development
What You’ll Bring to the Role
We are seeking a candidate with leadership experience, a background in an international work environment, and ideally previous exposure interacting with senior management. Experience handling the administration of multinational insurance programs in a Corporate Financial Services context is highly desirable.
Leadership experience is a must
You have solid experience working in an international environment
Previous exposure to senior management (for example as an Executive Assistant/ Chief of Staff) would be a plus, and you bring the ability to interact with confidence at the C-suite level
Ability to motivate others, ensure effective teamwork, be a trainer and a coach for your team
Ideally we are looking for someone with advanced knowledge and experience in client service and the handling of multinational programs in the Large Corporate and Mid Corp Commercial business segment, for instance you have worked in Operations or Underwriting
Advanced understanding of international program orchestration and the downstream policy administration life cycle, including information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, cancellation, and knowledge of Allianz Commercial lines of business (LOB)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German are required
