Medical Affairs Director – RWE (Real World Evidence) for a globally operating Basel based company in the pharmaceutical sector.
Your tasks:
- Driving the creation and execution of innovative integrated evidence strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the value proposition of our medicines
- Serving as a change agent and thought leader in the realm of RWE, guiding the overall evidence generation strategy
- Formulating critical scientific questions to address evidence needs, optimizing approval processes, market access, and clinical adoption of our medicines
- Working closely with internal and external partners to ensure scientific integrity in evidence strategy, study design, and data analyses
- Leading and nurturing partnerships with medical societies, academic institutions, payer bodies, and other data owners to foster meaningful RWD research collaborations
Your experience/knowledge:
- 7+ years of experience in a similar position within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- Strong understanding and experience of RWD/RWE or related disciplines
- In-depth knowledge of drug development with proven ability to identify and deliver impactful evidence from retrospective and prospective
- Strong background in research methodology and statistical methods related to clinical data analysis, observational studies, and epidemiological research
- Proven experience working with Clinical Development, Commercial, Market Access, HEOR, Medical, Safety, and Regulatory colleagues
- Language skills: English – fluent in written and spoken
