As a media spokesperson and communications specialist, you'll work at the heart of Axpo's corporate newsroom, taking on responsibility for communications in the nuclear energy sector.
What you will do:
- Be part of Axpo's corporate newsroom, ensuring professional and consistent communication across all channels alongside your team.
- Take on the role of editor-in-chief in the newsroom on designated days, coordinating the communication activities of the entire Axpo Group.
- Manage the nuclear energy sector with a colleague, maintaining constant contact with specialists in the division and Beznau nuclear power plant, ensuring internal and external communications (including media relations, editorial services, issues management).
- Act as the media spokesperson for nuclear energy, supporting colleagues in their public appearances.
- Ensure successful and transparent site communication for the Beznau nuclear power plant, regularly engaging with authorities and stakeholders in the region.
- Represent Axpo's communication interests in associations and committees, significantly shaping the communication of the entire nuclear energy sector in Switzerland.
- Manage content for the Beznau nuclear power plant's internal communication platform and organize Townhall meetings.
What you bring & who you are:
- You are passionate about the complexities of energy supply and eager to communicate the technology and importance of nuclear energy to a broader audience.
- You have a degree in communications or journalism (or similar) and experience in journalism or corporate communications, ideally in the energy sector or critical infrastructure.
- Your native language is German, and you are highly proficient in English.
- You excel at delivering clear, concise messages and simplifying complex topics.
- You have a strong presence in front of audiences, microphones, and cameras.
- You are capable of taking responsibility for large communication projects, resilient, and assertive.
