M&A Manager (m/f/d)

PHM Group is on a growth journey towards European leadership, having since 2014 consolidated the residential property services market. We have grown from a turnover of EUR 5m to EUR 1,066m, in recent years doing circa 30 acquisitions per year. We are a 12,500-employee company with a scale-up mentality. 

In June 2024, the PHM Group expanded into Switzerland through acquiring Investis Real Estate Services, a national market leader for residential property services with a turnover of CHF 184m. We have since already completed one Swiss add-on acquisition and more will follow.

We are now seeking a driven and self-starting M&A Manager to lead our acquisition strategy in primarily Switzerland and secondarily Southern Germany. In this role, you will have significant control over your work, challenging and developing yourself by executing on our M&A strategy, owning large parts of the M&A process, and regularly following up on cases within the cross-border M&A team, country organisations, and Group management.

The role is based at our subsidiary Valores AG Zurich-Wallisellen and involves 2-4 travelling days per month. Organisationally, you will report to Group M&A Director, who is based in Stockholm.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the M&A team in the development and execution of the M&A strategy
• Source and evaluate potential acquisition candidates
• Plan, execute and lead due diligence processes
• Conduct deal negotiations
• Develop balanced business cases proposals
• Present and pitch cases internally
• Build and maintain relationships both internally and externally

Your profile

• 3-6 years of experience in Corporate Development, M&A, Private Equity or Transaction Services
• Proven track record in executing deals
• Fluency in English and German, with a professional working proficiency in French
• Comfort in working independently and commercial mindset
• Valued personal traits include a self-starting mentality, humility, and social competence, as you will interact with a wide range of people, from the local entrepreneur of a 10-person firm to nationwide firms with private equity owners
